Dr. Mary Marano is an accomplished psychotherapist, thought leader, and innovator in the field of counselling, with over three decades of dedicated experience supporting individuals, couples, and families in achieving personal growth and relational well-being. As the Founder and CEO of Life & Family Counselling Services, she has built a practice renowned for its commitment to excellence, evidence-based interventions, and client-centred care.
Holding a Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Dr. Marano combines extensive clinical expertise with a deep commitment to professional development, ensuring that her clients benefit from the most current and effective therapeutic approaches. She is widely recognized for her compassionate, collaborative, and insightful approach, guiding clients through complex challenges while fostering resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful transformation.
Dr. Marano’s practice emphasizes creating a safe, empathetic space where clients can explore emotions, navigate life transitions, and cultivate authentic relationships. Paula Vescio, RSW
Meet Paula – Compassionate Support for Individuals, Couples, and Families
Paula is a Registered Social Worker dedicated to creating a compassionate and safe environment where individuals and couples can explore their emotions, uncover the roots of their behaviours, and work toward fulfilling, balanced lives. Her warm and comforting presence fosters trust and openness, allowing clients to grow in self-awareness, self-worth, empathy, and healing.
Paula brings a holistic, client-centred approach to her work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She specializes in supporting clients through abuse and trauma, relationship challenges, parenting, family and domestic violence, life transitions, grief and loss, divorce and separation, and self-esteem concerns.
She skillfully integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) to tailor care to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Jennifer Schumacher, RSW
Meet Jennifer – Compassionate Care for Individuals, Families, and Couples
Jennifer is a Registered Social Worker dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment where individuals, families, and couples can feel supported on their journey toward well-being. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Social Work from York University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto.
With over 20 years of experience, Jennifer brings a holistic approach to addressing the healthcare and emotional needs of her clients. She has worked extensively in Toronto hospitals across diverse specialties, including General Medicine, Kidney Transplant, Cardiovascular Surgery, Emergency Care, and Bariatric Surgery.
Jennifer specializes in supporting individuals and couples facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, and developing healthy coping strategies. Her compassionate, client-centred care aims to empower clients to achieve their optimal quality of life and foster stronger, healthier relationships.
Beyond Work Hours: Jennifer loves to go shopping, hang out with friends and family, swim and enjoy boating in the summer!
Celeste Iafrate, RP (Q)

Celeste is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Guelph-Humber and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
With a deep commitment to helping individuals thrive, Celeste provides a safe and supportive space where clients can work through life’s challenges and move toward meaningful personal growth. Arya Amatya, RP (Q)

Arya is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Bioethics and Law from the University of Toronto (St. George Campus, Victoria College) and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Arya adopts a thoughtful, client-centred approach to therapy, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and the Strengths-Based Approach. Her practice is rooted in the belief that every individual has the inner resources to overcome life’s challenges—and that therapy can help unlock that potential.

Olesia Yafremau, RP (Q)
Meet Olesia – Supporting Growth Through Compassionate, Culturally Sensitive Care
Olesia is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University while fulfilling her practicum requirements.
Olesia is passionate about helping individuals unlock their potential and navigate life’s challenges through the power of a supportive therapeutic relationship. She creates a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel safe, heard, and empowered to grow. Her approach emphasizes self-awareness, resilience, and personal transformation.
She draws from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs and goals. Olesia has a particular interest in supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, stress, trauma, self-esteem, and parenting-related challenges.
Committed to continuous learning and development, Olesia ensures her practice reflects the most current, evidence-based approaches. She is fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, allowing her to offer therapy in the language that feels most comfortable to her clients, enhancing trust, cultural connection, and understanding throughout the process.
As part of her practicum, Olesia currently offers pro bono (no-cost) therapy services to eligible clients.

Giulia Papa is a dedicated Family Lawyer and trained Family Mediator, committed to helping individuals and families navigate the legal and emotional complexities of separation and divorce. Called to the Ontario Bar in 2020, Giulia holds an LL.B. from the University of Kent and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School (2019).
Giulia’s practice is grounded in a non-adversarial, trauma-informed approach that empowers clients to reach thoughtful, sustainable agreements on parenting, financial support, and property division. She works collaboratively with mental health and wellness professionals to ensure clients receive holistic and compassionate support throughout their legal journey.

Meagan Tamburro
Meet Megan – Creating Safe, Supportive, and Inclusive Spaces
Megan holds an Honours B.Sc. in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour with Distinction, and a Minor in Mental Health, Addiction & Society from McMaster University. She is currently completing her practicum as part of her Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy, also at McMaster University.
Meagan is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. She takes a collaborative and compassionate approach to therapy, empowering individuals to draw on their own strengths as they work toward meaningful personal goals.
Her practice is trauma-informed, person-centred, and grounded in evidence-based approaches.
